  •  What is the purpose of the Targeting Innovation Scottish Software Awards?
The Targeting Innovation Scottish Software Awards recognise the expertise, know-how and business acumen prevalent in Scottish software companies and the contribution they make to the industry and the Scottish economy. The prestigious and unique programme will culminate in an Awards ceremony to be held in November, which will bring together the industry’s most innovative companies and individuals to celebrate excellence and inventiveness in the Scottish software community.
  • Why should we enter the competition?
If you feel your company is up there with the best in the Scottish software industry, this is your chance to benchmark your performance against other businesses in the industry. The PR opportunities that emerge for finalists and winners are immense. Moreover, shortlisted finalists  will have the opportunity to network with other leading industry players and showcase their products and businesses. Not to mention you’ll get to spend a good and entertaining night out, of course!
  • Who can enter the competition?
The competition is open to Scottish software companies of any size or age.
  • Who can nominate companies?
Entries can be submitted by companies themselves, other companies or public bodies, or individuals wishing to recognise their clients’, customers’ or colleagues’ efforts.
  •  What are the 2009/ 2010 Awards categories and what are the entry requirements and criteria?
Please refer to the Categories section of this website for Awards categories and assessment criteria.
  • How many categories can we enter?
You can enter any number of categories as long as you are confident you meet the entry requirements. Please note that all submissions will be automatically considered for the “Scottish Software Company of the Year 2009/ 2010” category – you do not have to complete a separate entry form for this category. See Categories for more information on categories and assessment criteria.
  • What does it cost to enter the competition?
Entry in the competition is completely free. Moreover, shortlisted finalists will receive two free tickets to the Targeting Innovation Scottish Software Awards party to be held on Friday, 27 November 2009.
  •  Where can we find entry forms and how do we fill in the entry form correctly?
Entry forms for each category can be found in the Categories section of this website. Please complete one entry form for each category you wish to enter.
Make sure you are familiar with the entry deadline, Awards categories, entry requirements and assessment criteria.  More information can be found in the Categories section.        
  • Who are the judges?
All entries will be judged by a panel of experienced judges from leading businesses, higher education establishments, public and private sector organisations with extensive knowledge of the Scottish software industry.
  • What’s the judging process?
All entries submitted prior to the entry deadline (Friday 9th October 2009) will be assessed against a set of criteria by a panel of experienced judges.
  • How do I book a place at the Awards Ceremony?
The early-evening Awards party will be held on Friday, 27th November 2009 in Glasgow. All tickets will be charged at a nominal price of £35 + VAT per person. You can now buy tickets online in the Attending the Event section of this website.
